your salvation
Have you ever wondered where the road ends? When you ride, you arrive at a destination. It may be a party, a big event, or a show. You plan. You anticipate. You prepare. But when the ride is over and you arrive back home, the euphoria is gone. The high is gone. There is emptiness in your heart. You go from event to event looking for fun and finding it. Yet there is something missing. There has to be more to life than this...
There is. It is found in Jesus Christ. Man was created to worship God. Yet we cannot. Why? We are sinners. God created man in His image so He could be with him. Man chose sin over life. Because of that, we are left empty. At the end of life, our road ends. Where does it end?
For most, it ends in Hell. "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat" (Matthew 7:13) They will not go there because of any great sin they have done, but because they refused the truth.
The truth is this: God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins. Sin MUST be paid for. The ONLY payment for sin is DEATH. "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)
Jesus Christ took your place on the cross. He DIED so that you do not have to! "For God so loved the world, that He have His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).
Yes, Jesus Christ died. But, He is not dead today. "The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." (Luke 24:7) He rose from the grave like He said he would!
What does this mean for you? It means that the road of your life does not have to end in Hell. There is only one name under heaven whereby you can be saved: Jesus Christ. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
The only way to heaven is to repent (turn from sin unto God) and believe on Jesus Christ. "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent." (Acts 17:30) "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
How do you do this? It is a heart matter. I will not tell you what prayer to say to God. I will say this; God sees your heart and knows your need. Call on Him for salvation, He WILL save you. "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37)
Where will your road end? What you do with Jesus Christ will determine that.
